FBA at National Biodiesel Conference

Frazier, Barnes and Associates will be attending the National Biodiesel Conference in Las Vegas February 3^rd through the 7^th. Committed to the biodiesel industry for more than a decade, this marks the 10^th annual pilgrimage to the increasingly important gathering. “The conference has always been an integral event for FBA, allowing face-to-face meetings with the suppliers, producers and blenders that constitute FBA’s client base,” according to Pete Moss, President of FBA and Biodiesel Services Group (BSG). “This year’s meeting is especially timely, given that one of our petroleum refining clients recently acquired a biodiesel plant and FBA was selected to provide all of the engineering to upgrade and optimize the facility.”

FBA and BSG provide a full slate of services to the industry including feedstock procurement, safety and training, and comprehensive technical services that are vital to the industry. At this year’s conference, FBA will be unveiling its proprietary profit model which allows biodiesel plants to plan, manage and track their profitability on a “real-time” basis.

FBA will also be working with its newest partner, RINtrust, LLC to roll out a comprehensive RIN verification program and a cost-effective BQ-9000 program in partnership with BQ Solutions. “It is an exciting time for the industry and for FBA” said Moss, “our biodiesel service partners and employees are the best in the industry as evidenced by our clientele. Frazier, Barnes and Associates is proud to announce the addition of Sean Austin to its technical services team. A Chemical Engineer from North Carolina State University, Sean joined FBA in December, 2012 and immediately became involved in a biodiesel plant acquisition due diligence project. “Sean jumped right into the mass and energy balance calculations that were necessary to evaluate the facility’s baseline production characteristics” according to FBA’s President, Pete Moss. “We are thankful to have young, energetic talent join our experienced team of engineers on a full-time basis. FBA’s philosophy is to employ full-time staff committed to servicing our customers because they are accountable – we are accountable. It has served us well for over a decade and shows that we are committed to the industry.”

FBA is also proud to welcome back Mr. Jeff Babb, a Senior Chemical Engineer, P.E., to the team. Jeff’s knowledge and experience have proven vital over the years and we are grateful to have Jeff on the team.
