Pete MossPresident

Pete is the President and managing partner of Frazier, Barnes & Associates, LLC in Memphis, Tennessee. Pete has 15 years of experience in the Renewable Fuel and Bioenergy Industries. While with FBA, Pete has consulted on hundreds of Bioenergy projects. The scope of these projects includes feasibility studies, business plans, independent engineering, technical troubleshooting, energy audits and project development services. Additionally, he has been instrumental in the development of oilseed processing projects, the commercialization of corn fractionation for the ethanol industry and biomass to energy project assessment. Mr. Moss frequently speaks at national Biofuel conferences and publishes macro economic studies and trade articles. Pete holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Memphis’ Executive MBA program. Prior to joining FBA, Pete was the Marketing Director for an oilseed processing firm in Arkansas and served as Vice President for First National Bank, also in Arkansas.

Warren BarnesVice President

Over twenty-five years of professional experience in commodity processing and refining industries. Extensive operations and engineering skills applicable to both existing and new processing facilities such as oil refining and biodiesel production. Mr. Barnes has developed and implemented several innovative operator training and development programs. He is a leading industry consultant on operational and benchmarking audits as well as ISO 9000 certification. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, and his Masters of Management from Central Michigan University.

Gerald SherfyVice President of Operations

Over a decade of experience in feasibility analysis and business plans. Mr. Sherfy has provided significant research and analysis for numerous projects and is a specialist in feedstock research and financial analysis. Mr. Sherfy oversees all asset and equipment evaluations for biofuels and agricultural processing facilities. Prior to joining FBA, Mr. Sherfy worked in both the real estate appraisal and commercial finance fields. He received a bachelor's degree in physics and an Executive MBA (masters of business administration) from the University of Memphis.

Jeff BabbSenior Process Engineer

Extensive experience in chemical engineering projects in a wide variety of industries including biodiesel, ethanol, corn wet milling, food processing environmental evaluations and many others applying chemical engineering design and evaluation. He is a registered Professional Engineer. Provide technical services consulting on fuel ethanol, biodiesel, biomass, and grain processing projects. FBA work focuses on feasibility studies and business plans as well as process evaluation and front end engineering work for related projects.

Ashley Player Advanced Biofuels Consultant

Applied technical and project management experience including analysis of various ethanol and biodiesel production technologies. Mrs. Player is familiar with chemical reaction engineering and design of chemical processes. She served as on-site process engineer during the commissioning of a 40 mmgpy biodiesel plant and provided project design and oversight for retrofit of a 36 mmgpy biodiesel plant. Managed 33 facility registrations under RFS2 and prepared submissions to the EPA. Assisted in the development of operating manuals and start-up protocols for biofuel plants now in production and provided operator training to a canola crush plant and refinery. Mrs. Player earned her Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering degree from Clemson University and has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
